1. Why the Psalms?

The psalms are a collection of 150 different poems written by many authors and collected and arranged by many editors over many years. We often don't like poetry, or else relegate the Psalms to "emotional support." But the Psalms are the Old Testament Scriptures most quoted by the New Testament! In this sermon, I introduce a new series on Seeking God with the Psalter and talk about how and why we should study the Psalms.
