As Judah's fate draws to a close, it's clear what has caused it: innocent bloodshed, particularly in the time of Jeremiah. The chapters at the end of the book of Kings tell short stories of doomed kings and everything is seemingly hopeless; God's promises have failed. But it ends with a seed of hope and longs for faith to cause it to grow.
